She was predeceased by: her parents, Maurice Harms and Helen Harms (Andersen); her siblings, Jerry Andersen, Don Harms (Marlys), Lois Hagert, Arnold Harms, Elaine Grosenheider (Bob), Alfred Harms and Arlis Harms; her brother-in-law Max Baker; and her goddaughter Julie Sitzmann (Harms).
She is survived by: her siblings, Beverlyn Baker Bouma (Don) of Le Mars, IA, Ken Harms of Le Mars, IA, Edd Harms (Kay) of Wichita, KS and Merle Huls (Sue) of Le Mars, IA; and her sister-in-law Pat Harms of Le Mars, IA. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Joanne's name to Wet Nose Rescue and the Le Mars Backpack Program, in care of her family.
