He is survived by: his former wife Mavis Cooper; his children, Judy (Brian Huizenga), Barb (Brad March), Donna (Dan Hagan) and Jerry Sorgdrager of Orange City, IA; his grandchildren, Rachel, LJ Moten, Tyler, Travis, Juliana Huizenga, JoAnn, Terrance Merry, John Roling, Jackie, Grace, Sammie March, Abby, Cody Klaschen, Jacob, Mary Hagan, Emily Sorgdrager, Jesse Sorgdrager, Bree Mulder and Riley Sorgdrager; his great grandchildren, Nevaeh, Kambri, Lakin, Kalin Moten, Cassia, Bria Merry, Wyatt, Kinley Klaschen, Hunter Hagan, Noah, Cambri, Lilli, Jersey Fleming, Liam Mulder and Taya Sorgdrager; and his sister Carol Means of Hinton, IA. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
