She was predeceased by: her husband Clarence Kock of John's Lutheran Church; her daughter Barbara Jo Powell; her great grandchild Ethan De Koter; her parents, Herman Steinfadt and Dora Steinfadt; her siblings, Betty Stinton (Lyle), Joyce Moritz (George), Delores Day (Raymond), Harold Steinfadt and Donald Steinfadt; her parents-in-law, Ulrich and Anna Kock; and her in-laws, Lawrence Harrison, Rudy Tonne, Lloyd Rolling, Raymond Day and Diane Steinfadt.
She is survived by: her daughter Diane Widick (Bill) of Clear Lake, IA; her grandson Shane Grego (Kristen); her great grandchildren, Lauren and Brooke; her grandchild Kaci Brim (Peter); her great grandchildren, Angelina, Lucas and Grace; her granddaughter Amber Schumacher (BJ); her great grandchildren, Payton and Jesse; her daughter Connie De Koter (Dean) of Bondurant, IA; her grandson Trent De Koter (Tracy); her great grandchildren, Jordan, Logan and Caden; her granddaughter Kara De Koter; her great grandchild Jaeda; her son-in-law Dr. James Powell of Sioux Falls, SD; her grandchildren-in-law, Julie Hurt (Dale), Adam Powell (Wendy), Alyson Palladino (Darren) and Michael Powell (Ashley); her siblings, Mavis Tonne of Fairmont, MN and Marlan'Punk'Steinfadt of Le Mars, IA; her in-laws, Bonnie Steinfadt of Jefferson, IA and Virginia Steinfadt of Reinbeck, IA; and also, Madeline, Danielle, Jake, Cali, Ava, Brooklyn, Olivia and Mason. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM at the St. John's Lutheran Church (201 1st Ave NW, Le Mars, IA 51031). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Memorial Cemetery (1100 3rd St SE, Le Mars, IA 51031). A reception was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. John's Lutheran Church (201 1st Ave NW, Le Mars, IA 51031).
In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials can be made to St. John's Lutheran Church in Le Mars and St. Croix Hospice.
