She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Downing and Frieda Downing (Tanner); her husband Lloyd Kallsen; and her sisters, Betty Ahrendt (Carl), Dorothy Trobaugh (John), Virginia Brangwin (John) and Joyce Nervig (Stanley).
She is survived by: her children, Gary Kallsen of Ames, IA, Dennis Kallsen (Cindy) of Illinois and Deb Mayrose (Mark) of Le Mars, IA; and her grandchildren, Christopher Hisel, Joseph Kallsen, Nathan Hisel and Libby Kallsen. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
