He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Ruden and Mary Ruden (Goetzinger); his son-in-law Jerry Hoss; his great great grandchild Oscar Burnham; his siblings, Silvius Ruden (Margie), Harold Ruden (Gracie), Wally Ruden, Ray Ruden (Lorraine), Joe Ruden (Bonnie), Erma Bush (Lee) and Florence Madsen (Bernie); and his brothers-in-law, LeRoy Mousel, Robert Ahlers and Larry "Butch" Woll.
He is survived by: his wife Mildred List of Le Mars; his children, Karen Nelson (Ken) of Le Mars, IA, Marilyn Jensen (Reid) of Burbank, SD, Nancy Hoss of Akron, IA, Dennis Ruden of Le Mars, IA and Diane Russell (Gary); his siblings, Don Ruden (Amy Brady) of Le Mars, IA, Theresa Probst (Pat) of Alton, IA, Susan Kohlmaier (Jody) of Katy, TX, Tom Ruden (Marva) of Illinois, Mary Ann Mousel of Sioux City, IA, Cy Ahlers of Le Mars, IA and Jeanne Woll of Le Mars, IA; and his sister-in-law Helen Brady of Marcus, IA. He is also survived by 31 grandchildren; 60 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren.
