It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Diane Franzen (Le Mars, Iowa), born in Weston, Nebraska, who passed away on August 24, 2020, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Hilger and Frances Hilger (Novacek); her husband Merlin Franzen; her sons, James, David and Steve; her siblings, Jane Juarez (Rome) and Robert Hilger; her son-in-law Richard Olson; her nephew Michael Hilger; and her parents-in-law, Ed, Arlyne Henrich and Bill Franzen.
She is survived by: her children, JoAnn Olson of Correctionville, IA, Jane Franzen of Cherokee, IA, Mark Franzen (Ann) of Monroeville, IN, Michael Franzen of Sioux City, IA, Mary Franzen of Sioux City, IA, Karen Crain (Patrick) of Dakota Dunes, SD, Tom Franzen (Angela) of Sioux City, IA and Teresa Henriks (Craig) of Lawton, IA; and her mothers-in-law, Sharon Hilger of Olathe, KS, Mary Lou Hanson of Omaha, NE and Joyce Franzen of New Jersey. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren.
There will be a Parish Rosary at 5:00 p. m. and a Scriptural Prayer Service at 7:00 p. m. Social distancing and wearing a mask are required.
