He was predeceased by: his parents, Gossom Boer and Henrietta "Hattie" De Boer (Scholten); his wife Dorothea; his son Jerry De Boer (Sally); and his granddaughter Krista Marie De Boer.
He is survived by: his children, Bernette "Bernie" Clark (Dennis) of Westcliffe, Donna Jester (Steve) of Le Mars, IA and Jim De Boer (Peggy) of Sioux Falls. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 7 step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
