She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Frank Witchousky and Helen Witchousky (Thayer); her children, Jorie Anne and Jeffrey Alan; her grandchildren, Emelia Ellen and Benjamin James; her children-in-law, Kirk Carson of Davenport, Iowa and Jennifer; her grandson Benjamin Buchanan of Good Thunder, Minnesota; and her brother Peter Witchousky of Springfield, Illinois..

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jo Anne's name can be made to the Le Claire Public Library.
