He was predeceased by: his siblings, Sid and Taina. He is survived by: his wife Jean; and his children, Darrell Machalek Jr., Deon Machalek (Diana), Wendy Auliff, Lori Amerine (Brian), Connie Enoch (Gary) and Lisa Slocum. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.
