He was predeceased by: his parents, John Stepan and Lillian Stepan (Pecinovsky); his wife Mary Stepan; his stepdaughter Della Johnson; and his siblings, Vincent Stepan and Agnes McGee.
He is survived by: his stepdaughter Valorie Johnson of Nashua, IA; and his siblings, Edward Stepan of West Union, IA and Lillian Karnik of Spillville, IA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
