He was predeceased by: his parents-in-law, Lyle and Bernette Njus; and his brothers-in-law, Eric Njus and Greg Thies. He is survived by: his parents, Leslie Heckman and Sherill Heckman (Rekow) of Mountain Home, AR; his wife Deb; his sons, Zach Njus (Nikki) of Polk City, IA, Nicholas Heckman of Ames, IA and Kristian Heckman (Aislinn) of Altoona, IA; his grandchildren, Malachi and Payton; his sister Cori Perez (Mario); his siblings-in-law, Dennis Njus (Connie) of New Hampton, David Njus (Lisa) of Lawler, Dawn Njus of New Hampton and Samantha Njus of Lawler; and his nieces and nephews, Coral, Allie, Macie, Nick Njus, Keira Myers, Chris Thies, Elizabeth Njus and Tyler Perez. He is also survived by his wife, his children, his friends.
