It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Derek Michael Scally of Lawler, Iowa, born in South Bend, Indiana, who passed away on July 22, 2021, at the age of 46, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his stepfather Harvey Keith Carden; his grandparents, Robert John DeMatio, Bonnie Jean DeMatio, John Edward Scally II and Edith Bernardine Scally; his aunt Ann DeMatio; and his cousin Matthew DeMatio.
He is survived by: his parents, Nancy Jeanne Scally of West Branch, Michigan. and Mark William Scally of Lawler; his brother Gregory Shepherd Scally; his sister-in-law Kim Lam; his nephew Soren Lam Scally; and his niece Severine Scally Lam. He is also survived by many close friends and extended family.
