It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Norma Jean Whalen in Laurens, Iowa, born in Odebolt, Iowa, who passed away on March 9, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Lietz and Mildred Lietz (Greder); her son Michael; and her grandson Dawson. She is survived by: her sons, Robert Walker of Spencer, IA and Tom Walker (CJ) of Spencer, IA; her grandchild Coire Walker (Jessie Bathke); her great grandchild Evangeline Walker; her grandson Trenton Walker (Jessika); her great grandchildren, Hollee, Clyde, Colt and Gustin Walker; her granddaughter Gracie Johnson (Blake); her great grandchildren, Milo Walker and Waylon Johnson; her grandson Edward; and her siblings, Carol Janes of Albert City, IA and Norman Lietz (Deanna) of Marathon, IA. She is also survived by other relatives; and many friends.
