Marshall Peterson Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marshall Peterson of Laurens, Iowa, who passed away on January 3, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gustaf Peterson and Christine Peterson (Soderstrom); his wife Janice Anne Newgard (Newgard); and his brother Robert. He is survived by: his children, Becky Orwig (Steve) of Sioux Rapids, Jerry Peterson (Jayne) of Iroquois, Ill., Laurie Simonsen (Brett) of Norfolk, Neb. and Jeff Peterson (Ruby) of Albert City; his grandchildren, Nick Heppner, Tabitha Heckens (Dallas, Jr.), Jessica Peterson, Alecia Lowry (Zach), Scott Simonsen (Emily), Mariah Marquardt-Orwig (Justin Melia) and Amber Simonsen (Kole Peterson); and his great grandchildren, Layne Heppner, Hunter Lowry, Hayden Lowry, Owen Heppner, Corbin Heckens, Averie Heppner, Eben Heckens, Wren Heppner and Skylar Heckens. He is also survived by other extended family along with many friends.
