It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lucy Rhea Aschenbrenner of Laurens, Iowa, who passed away on April 3, 2025, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Erickson and Elsie Erickson (Almquist); her granddaughter Braelynne Wenisch; and her brother-in-law Harold Berglund. She is survived by: her husband Mark Anderson; her former husband Don Aschenbrenner; her stepson Jason; her children, Craig Anderson of Kansas City, MO, Carrie Zens (Jesse) of Slayton, MN and Crista Wenisch (Greg) of Big Lake, MN; her grandchildren, Carter Zens, Jack Zens, Brenner Zens and Rylee Wenisch; her pet Charlie Wen; and her siblings, Carolyn Berglund of Stratford, IA, Paula Freeseman (Wil) of Ankeny, IA, Corinne Peterson (Ron) of Pocahontas and Monte Erickson (Deb) of Pomeroy, IA.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Evangelical Covenant Church (21822 600th St, Pomeroy, IA 50575). A burial was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at the Evangelical Covenant Church Cemetery (21822 600th St, Pomeroy, IA 50575).
