He was predeceased by: his parents, Bob Mather and Marilyn Mather (Miller); and his grandparents, Elwood, Olive Miller, Ray and Katie Mather.
He is survived by: his wife Kristy of Laurens; his children, Dean (Kelsey) of Altoona, IA and Marie Burrows (Chris) of Nevada, IA; his grandchildren, Katherine, Billy, Zach, Nellie and Elizabeth; and his siblings, Mark Mather (Becky) and Kathleen Van Beek (Steve). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Powers Funeral Home - Laurens (263 Ralston St, Laurens, IA 50554). A masonic service was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 at 5:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the United Methodist Church (201 W Main St, Laurens, IA 50554). A burial was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at the Laurens Cemetery (44404 140th Ave, Laurens, IA 50554).
