He was predeceased by: his parents, Ted Swanson and Adina Swanson (Renquist); his wife Pearl Swanson (Williams); his son-in-law Gary Geisinger; his parents-in-law, Delbert and Wilma Williams; his sister Ruth Elaine; his siblings-in-law, Howard Sandeen, Darrell Williams and Deanna Otto; his niece Kathy Downer; his great-niece Elayna Sandeen; and his great-nephews, Nate Downer and Mavrick Sandeen.
He is survived by: his children, Sharon Geisinger of Eagle Grove and Doug Swanson (Colleen) of Hampton; his grandchildren, Tanner Geisinger (Sarah), Jessica McClelland (Ryan) and Justin Swanson (Christina); his great grandchildren, Kayden McClelland, Aubrey Swanson, Leslie McClelland and Paxton Swanson; and his siblings-in-law, Anne Williams of Dayton and Virdene Otto of Galva. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church (17 2nd St NE, Hampton, IA 50441). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Lost Grove Township Cemetery.
