He was predeceased by: his parents, David H. Koenen and Amelia G. Koenen (Janssen); his wife Marjory Pralle; his daughter Shari Jean; his granddaughter Marin Lynn Wilcox; his siblings, Jerry (Carol), Bill, Louisa Wiemann (Henry), Florence Koelder (Harvey) and Amelia Langford (Dale); and his niece Cherylene Stoltenberg.
He is survived by: his daughter Pam Tyrrell (Tom) of Clarion; his grandchildren, Kristen (Matt), Joe (Karla) and Daniel (Liana); his daughter Julie Homan (Brad) of Cottage Grove; his grandchildren, Jon (Tanya), David (Trisha) and Allison (Ben); his daughter Susan Wilcox (Scott) of Seward; his grandchildren, Erin (Jason), Mark (Lauren) and Lauren; and his sister-in-law Carol Ann Koenen. He is also survived by 20 great grandchildren.
