She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Christiansen and Lola Christiansen (Boone) of Coulter; and her brothers, Roger Gertsen and Danny Lee Gertsen. She is survived by: her husband Roy Plagge of Latimer; her children, Ian Plagge (Valerie) of Latimer and Whitney Ceretti (Jason) of Ankeny; and her grandchildren, Klayton, Audrey, Lauren, Reagan, Abby, Neely and Grayson.

In lieu of flowers, Cindy's family requests memorials in her memory to Care Initiatives Hospice in Cedar Falls or Rock Steady Boxing in Mason City.
