She was predeceased by: her parents, Joel Middlen and Adeline Middlen (Swenson); her brother Richard Middlen; her sister-in-law Lou Middlen; and her son-in-law Levi Sandal.
She is survived by: her husband Wayne; her daughters, Janel Vander Schaaf (Lee) of Rock Valley, IA and Bobbi Jo Kroger (Adam) of Inwood, IA; her grandson Preston; her stepgrandson Weston Kroger; her brothers, Duane Middlen (Amy Klocko) and Bob Middlen; her sister-in-law Mary Middlen; her close friend Sue Lund; her pet Teddy; and her niece Nicole Middlen. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
