He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard DeSmet and Mary Ann DeSmet (Kloiber); and his brother Mark DeSmet. He is survived by: his siblings, Elaine DeCesare of Leland, NC and Paul DeSmet of Mercersburg, PA. He is also survived by two nieces; two nephews; and other extended family.
