With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joel R. Middlen (Larchwood, Iowa), who passed away on August 27, 2019. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Max and Anna (Hohman); his wife Adeline; his son Richard Middlen; his granddaughter Nicole Middlen; his grandson-in-law Levi Sandal; and his siblings, Doris Koch and Orlon.

He is survived by: his children, Robert Middlen, Yvonne Poppens (Wayne) and Duane Middlen; and his daughter-in-law Mary Middlen. He is also survived by six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; twelve step-great-grandchildren.
