He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Wiering and Lucy Wiering (De Smet); his wife Joan O'Hora; and his siblings, Richard DeBaere, Helen Stevens, Marcella Zimmer and Frances Bjerke.
He is survived by: his children, Tami Darst (Joe) of Sioux Falls, SD, Miki Snyders (Kevin) of Larchwood, IA, Sandra Welbig (Randy) of Colton, SD and Douglas Wiering (Tracey) of Cedar Falls, IA; his grandchildren, Erin Harrer (Kelly) of Lisbon, IA, Dustin Snyders (Lisa) of Phoenix, AZ, Andrea Reutter (Dustin) of Marion, SD, Abby Renner (Dan) of Crooks, SD, Brady Welbig (Kristen) of Brandon, SD, Henry and Charles James Wiering of Cedar Falls, IA; and his great grandchildren, Zachary Darst (Maddie), Kaeden Harrer, Corben, Hailey, Aubrey Reutter, Tyson, Myles, Cole James and Isla Snyders.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions the Wiering family will not be present.
