He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Maurer and Eleanor Maurer (Berg); his daughter Kathy; his granddaughter Margaret; his brothers, Gene and Roger; his siblings-in-law, Mavis Maurer, Larry Ripperda and Marlene Anderson (Milton); his nephew Jon Maurer; and his niece Patrice Maurer.
He is survived by: his brother Allan; his former wife Donna Johnson; his son Micheal; his wife Donna Maurer of Larchwood, IA; his son David Maurer of Larchwood, IA; his grandchild Gabriela of Comfrey, MN; and his siblings, Robert Maurer of Des Moines, IA, Marilyn Ripperda of Worthington, MN, Karen Kramer (Denny) of Sioux Falls, SD, Paul Maurer of Hermosa, SD, Alan Maurer (Norma) of Larchwood, IA and Jerry Maurer (Barb) of Larchwood, IA. He is also survived by Grandpa as well as his own children will of their dad.
