He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Rolfs and Emma Rolfs (Kostman); his granddaughter Ashley Rolfs; his sister Gladys Hartson; and his siblings-in-law, Phyllis Rolfs, Duane "Curly" Hartson, Vince Carney, Walter "Bob" White, Kenneth Hudson and Delmar Decker.
He is survived by: his former wife Roberta Hanson; his children, Vickie Kimber (Pat) of Decorah, IA, Walter Rolfs (Carla) of Lansing, IA and James Rolfs of Decorah; his grandchildren, Andy Kimber (Tiff), Eric Kimber, Emily Potts (Jeremy), Tracy Kimber (Ty), Patrick Kimber, Tristan Rolfs, Elena Rolfs and Jacob Rolfs; his stepgrandchildren, Anthony Pearson and Hayden Brinks; and his siblings, Marjorie Kruger (Emmett) of Postville, IA, Irene Carney of Fairfield, OH, Darlene Hudson of Red Wing, MN, Janet Kaufman of Waukon, Donald Rolfs of Red Wing, MN and Charles Rolfs (Lois) of Waukon.
