He was predeceased by: his parents, Clem Schulte and Arlene Schulte (Gavin); and his sister Karen Schulte. He is survived by: his children, Cody (Tia) of Santa Teresa, NM and Casey of Harpers Ferry; his wife Lori Davis (Stenberg) of Waverly, IA; and his siblings, Shirley Harwood (Dan) of Prairie du Chien, Betty Irons of Waukon, Jenny Schulte of La Crosse, WI, Marita Clark (Tom) of Harpers Ferry and Dan Schulte of Harpers Ferry.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family or Harpers Ferry/Waterville Rescue.
