He was predeceased by: his parents, Dale Simpson and Florence Mae Simpson (McDaniel); his wife Wanda Lea Peace; his sister Genevieve Iles; and his siblings-in-law, Richard Kline, Vickie Simpson and Bonneta Moore (Robert).
He is survived by: his sons, Kevin Simpson (Donna) and Mark Simpson; his siblings, Kenneth Simpson of Kidder, Frederic Simpson of Davis City, Darrell Simpson of Independence, Missouri, Janice Williams (Ryland) of Independence, Missouri, Ferryl Simpson of Independence, Missouri, Kathy Kline of Independence, Missouri and Barbara Silver of Independence, Missouri; and his brother-in-law Bob Iles of Richmond, Missouri. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
Memorials may be given to the Lamoni United Methodist Church in Ron's memory.
