He was predeceased by: his parents, Rufus Wayne and Mary Jo Jackel (Wilder); and his wife Marsha Jackel. He is survived by: his children, Peter, Terrilee Jackel of Lamoni, Sam Jackel of New York and Chelsey Jackel of Chicago, Illinois; his grandchildren, Loralei, Owen Jackel and Christian Biwott; his siblings, Nancy Sherman of Lamoni, Donald, Anne Jackel of Kansas City and Steve Jackel of Lamoni; and his sister-in-law Carolyn (Bill Cleveland). He is also survived by other relatives and many friends.
