He was predeceased by: his parents, James A. Thomas and Grace C. Thompson; his children, Margaret Thomas and John Thomas; and his sisters, Mildred Whitaker, Mary Helen Dalby and Gracie Margaret Thomas.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Thomas of Lamoni, Iowa; his daughter Myrna McLain of Lamoni; his grandchildren, Mercedes McLain, Laura, Brian Klug, Jessica Bartelt, Megan Dougherty, James Tungesvick, Jacob Thomas and Elijah Thomas; his great grandchildren, Mariah and Mason; and his sister Ruth Smith of Mesa, Arizona. He is also survived by nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
Memorials may be given to the Thomas Family Memorial Fund.
