We bid farewell to Gerald Elmer Hampton of Lamoni, Iowa, born in Las Vegas, Nevada, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on June 2, 2024 at the age of 91. Gerald touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his wife Helen Hampton; and his brother Dan Hampton. He is survived by: his children, Bobbie Kuehl (Rob) of Kansas City, Kim Johnson (Coral) of Clive, Michelle Waite (Stuart) of St Louis and Jon Hampton (Jennifer) of Lamoni, Iowa; his grandchildren, Chase Kuehl (Leslie), Spencer Ashby (Adam), Camryn Kuehl, Brooke Wright (Brandon), Kasey Steen (Adam), Taylor Daniels (Bobby), Brett Waite (Carolyn), Matt Waite (Ellen), Josh Waite, Maxwell Hampton, Madison Salinas (AJ), Sam Hampton, Madeline Williams (David) and Ben Glodowski (Nicole); and his sisters, Donna Crawford of Independence, Eva Cartwright of Independence, Neva Houseknecht of Independence and Ethel Essex of Hilliard, Ohio. He is also survived by his 13 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and many, many friends.
