Ruth Meister Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 8, 2025, at the age of 92, Ruth Meister of Lake View, Iowa passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Ruth Meister to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Derk Peters and Maggie Peters (Bush); her husband Dale Meister; her granddaughter Cassie Carroll; her brother Elmer Peters (Hazel); and her brothers-in-law, Louis Meister, Darrell Meister, Raymond Meister (Lillian), Jim Meister (Mary Ann) and Merlyn "Shorty" Thompson.
She is survived by: her children, Alan Meister (Mary) of Colton, SD and Lori Carroll (Rod Carter) of Whittemore, IA; her grandchildren, Amanda McKee, Heidi Moffitt (Patrick), Josh Carroll, Michele Meister, Brian Carroll, Rebecca Meister, Heather Duin, Jen Symens (Todd Dishon), Amanda Peyton (Travis), Brenda Huls (Corey), Shae, Morgan and Kyle; her great grandchildren, Trey, Makayla, Isaac, Zach, Nicole, Nathan, Isaiah, Austin, Ethan, Braxton, Anya, Mia, Michael, Matthew, Marshal, Charisma, Alyssa, Ryan, Sarah, Lyndsay, Joshua, Hailey, Abigail, Paisley H., Ashtyn, Paisley, Brilynn, Ariyah, Resnesmee, Jinx, Lucian and Cyrus; and her sister-in-law Delores Thompson of Lake View, IA. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, others extended family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (102 5th St, Wall Lake, IA 51466). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
