He was predeceased by: his parents, Leury Meyer and Olla Meyer (Cross); and his wife Velma Meyer. He is survived by: his children, Mary Meyer of Lake View, IA, Marc Meyer (Luanne) and Marsha Sample (Bill) of Polk City, IA; his grandchildren, Matthew Meyer (Eva), Andrea Meyer, Jessica Sample, Joanna Karmba (Martin), Brad Sample and Theresa Sample; and his great grandchildren, Addison Meyer, Jayden Pratt and Abby Kile.
