He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Garrels of Lake View; his sister Debra Garrels Ross (Jim) of Trenton, MO; his children, Brenda Schwanz (James) of Vail, Bridget Belt (Robert) of Carnarvon, Beth Quirk (Todd) of Odebolt, Lisa Gullett (Troy) of Lake View, Janel Chedester (Bryan) of Lake View and Clayton Garrels (Chelsy) of Lake View; his grandchildren, Dillon (Jordan), Spencer, Sydney Schwanz, Kylie, Trey, Joy, Desirae, Bobbie Belt, Garrett, Chandler, Kendall Quirk, Evan, Drew, Regan, Jack, Cain Gullett, Carter, Lauren, Collin, Calvin, Lola, Liv, Lincoln, Lillian Chedester, Cash, Chloe, Crue, Cecelia, Cort, Clementine and Cutler Garrels; his great grandchild Grady Schwanz; and his nieces and nephews, Tanya Brunelle, Trinity and Jay R Ross. He is also survived by children, grandchildren, sons-in-law, friends.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be directed to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wall Lake, Iowa.
