With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Calvin Ackerman of Lake Park, Iowa, born in Sheldon, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 1, 2024 at the age of 65. He was predeceased by: his mother Shirley Ackerman; his daughter Desiree Ackerman; and his brother Cecil Jr. Ackerman. He is survived by: his father Cecil Sr. Ackerman; his children, Travis Ackerman (Lacey) of Brandon, S. D., Jennifer Braun (Thomas) of Sibley, IA, Maggie Blume (Adam) of Worthington, MN and Abbigail Nalepa (Thomas) of McKinney, TX; his grandchildren, Xander Ackerman, Rylan Marco, Tate Marco, Kohen Braun, Alaina Reitmeier, Samantha Reitmeier, Brock Blume, Brinley Blume, Bryer Blume, Breka Blume, Olivia Nalepa, Cora Nalepa and Aidan Nalepa; and his siblings, Curt (Sharon), Craig, Corey (Colleen), Chad, Charlie (Brenda), Clint (Lana) and Susan Kruger (Jeff).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Calvin's children.
