She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernon Peterson and Bernice Peterson (Swenson); her husband Kurt; her son Paul; and her siblings, Delores Porter (Elwood), Joan Hall (Ron), Mary Dakken, Stanley Helgeson (Neoma), Harry Helgeson (Eileen), Milford Helgeson (Doris), Truman Helgeson (Phyllis) and Vernon Helgeson (Barbara).
She is survived by: her former spouse Kurtis Helgeson; her children, Bruce Helgeson (Connie) of Lake Mills, Gary Helgeson (Linda) of Lake Mills and Judy Eidness (Steve) of Lake Mills; her grandchildren, Tammy Loncorich (Charlie), Kurtis Paul Helgeson (Ricki Lynn), Hilary Helgeson, Kellie Abragio (Tom), Jeffrey Helgeson (Caryn), Mark Helgeson (Tracy), Timothy Helgeson (Devan), Kimberly Yocom (Andy), Shawn Helgeson (Julie), Melissa Pruin (Mark), Bradley Helgeson (Jolene), Joshua Eidness, Lacie Eidness (Jesse Doherty) and Jenna Eidness; and her brother-in-law David Dakken. She is also survived by twenty eight great-grandchildren, seven great great-grandchildren.
The family suggests that memorials be directed to the Salem Lutheran Church or Hospice of North Iowa.
