She was predeceased by: her parents, Norris Soma and Eveline Soma (Johnson); her husband Arlen Pals; and her sisters, Dorothy Barkema and Eleanor Pals.
She is survived by: her children, Ryan Pals (Kim), Randy Pals and Roxanne Pals (Brad Dondlinger); her grandchildren, Tony Gulick (Bethany Sand), Jamie Appenzeller (Brian), Miranda Nelson (Anthony), Rebecca Wolfe (Alex), Andrew Pals (Chelsea Haines), Brennan Dondlinger and Parker Dondlinger; her great grandchildren, Sophia Nelson, Kale Appenzeller, Dylan Gulick, Connor Gulick, Camdon Nelson, Calvin Nelson, Elise Gulick and Evelene Wolfe; and her siblings, Muriel Durant, Gilman Soma (Sandra), Betty Dorenkamp (Donnie), Lois Beisner and Charles Soma (Phoebe). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
