She was predeceased by: her parents, Harley Higley and Phyllis Higley (Shirley); her husband Bennie; her sister Mary Brown; and her children, Holly and Eric Brown.
She is survived by: her children, Lori Christianson, Michael Christianson (Lisa) and David Christianson (Codi); her grandchildren, Drew Messerschmidt (Mandy), Kristin Messerschmidt, Ivy Christianson (Paul Soener), Emma Christianson (Tim Runde), Tuff Christianson (Brennan Banks) and Colt Christianson (Shayla); her great grandchildren, Auron, Isley and Hattie; her brother Carroll; and her sister-in-law Mary Christianson. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Shirley's family suggests memorials be made to the local Food Bank at 40029 210th Avenue, Lake Mills, IA 50450.
