He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Engelby and Mabel Engelby (Engebretson); his brothers, Richard Engelby and Don Engelby; and his nephews, Thomas Engelby and Eric Engelby.

He is survived by: his brothers, Arnie Engelby (Wanda), Larry Engelby and Gary Engelby (Carol); and his sister-in-law Cheryl Engelby. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving relatives.
