He was predeceased by: his parents, George Fjeld and Amanda Fjeld (Finsaas); his wife Marilyn Johnson; his daughter Sheryl Hanna; his great grandchild Rachel Elizabeth Fjeld; his parents-in-law, Arthur and Margaret Johnson; his sister Berna Fjeld Opdahl Nelson; and his brother-in-law Truman Opdahl.
He is survived by: his sons, Gene Fjeld (Jodi) of Forest City, Jerry Fjeld (Becky) of Joice, Roger Fjeld (Terry) of Burlington, IA and Brian Fjeld (Brenda) of Iowa Falls, IA; his son-in-law Tim Hanna of Minnesota; his grandchildren, Ceara Mullins (Ryan), Garrett Fjeld (Kylie), Caitlin Fjeld, Dan Fjeld (Amanda), Matt Fjeld (Brenna), Cassie Allen (Dale), Brenton Fjeld, Autumn Fjeld, Chelsea Garbes (Garit), Nicole Hanna, Zachery Fjeld, Amanda Fjeld, Jacob Fjeld and Mikayla Fjeld; his great grandchildren, John, Luke, Megan, James Fjeld, Edith, Inga, Elin, Anja Fjeld and Allen; his brother Jim; his siblings-in-law, Darlene Gremmer of Britt, IA and Jack Nelson of Albert Lea, MN; his nephews, Jeff Gremmer (Mary Keepers), Mike Gremmer (Rebecca Bingham), Richard Opdahl (Kathy) and Dale Opdahl (Linda); and his niece Sylvia Christiansen (Dana). He is also survived by many cousins and friends.
