He was predeceased by: his parents, Adeline Troe (Lundene) and Lawrence Troe; his wife Marlys Irene Miller; his pet Molly; his parents-in-law, Orville and LaDonna Miller (Perkins); his grandson Lucas John Troe; his siblings, Larry Troe, Donna Christianson and LaVonne Thomsen; his siblings-in-law, Carol Earl, Carlyle Thomsen, Merlyn Sheldon, Sr. and Donald Earl; his nephew Larry Weatherly; and his great-niece Nichole Thomsen.
He is survived by: his children, Barry Sr., Meridee and Renea Hagen (Troy); his siblings, Barry Troe, Sr. (Katy) of Manly and Meridee Ansel (Mark) of Shubert, Neb.; his grandchildren, Brandi Krenz (Zakry), Amanda Hovey (Brandon), Barry Troe, Jr. (Krista), Kevin Ansel, Alexander Hagen, Marissa Hauge (Allan Jr.), Andrew Troe (Kaycee Arrowood), Makayla Ansel, Jaden Ansel and Liberty Hoksbergen; his great grandchildren, Maddox Hovey, Kaden Hovey, Jolene Hauge, Atlas Troe and Bentley Troe; and his siblings-in-law, Gary Christianson, Paul Miller, Paulette Page, Judy Weatherly and Peggy Troe. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Gary lived in memory care the last two years of his life and while Alzheimer's took away his ability to speak, he still shared his smile and gentle personality with those that he crossed paths with.
