It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Leo Grothe (Lake Mills, Iowa), born in Creighton, Nebraska, who passed away on May 4, 2020, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Grothe and Rose Grothe (Hettenbach); his parents-in-law, Rudolph and Jeneva Bergo; his siblings, Joey Grothe, Paul Grothe, Frieda Olson, Jenny Brower and Dick Grothe; and his grandson Jacob Grothe.
He is survived by: his wife Ila Grothe; his daughter Tammy Hamilton; his grandson Mike Hamilton (Dawn); his great grandchildren, Cameron, Emma and Bella; his grandchild Ashley Schares (Mason); his great grandchild Killian; his daughter Rhonda Harmon (Doug); his grandchild Chalsea Roder (Drew); his great grandchildren, Gracie, Jeneva and Peyton; his grandchildren, Derek Harmon (Jesus Gonzales) and Jerod Harmon (Samantha); his son Randy Grothe (Christi); his grandchildren, Sam and Katie; his daughter Dawn Butterfield (Lindsey); his grandson Joshua Grothe (Lauren Moniot); his great grandchild Andrew; his granddaughter Amber Benusa (Mike); his great grandchild Charlee; his granddaughter Brianna Butterfield; his son Kevin Grothe (Jolene Carter); his grandchildren, Kray and Claire Grothe; his siblings, Teresa Zila and Jim Grothe; his sisters-in-law, Carolyn Grothe, Sandy Grothe, Rita Anderson and Janet Bergo; and also Chrissy Grothe. He is also survived by relatives and even more friends.
