Coral Fay (Seay) Hagen Obituary
Coral Fay (Seay) Hagen, 83, died peacefully at her home on the morning of Thursday, December 5, 2024, in Lake Mills, Iowa, with her husband at her side.
Coral was born on March 25, 1941, in Portales, New Mexico, to Rev. John and Gaytha (Garrett) Seay. Her father's role as a Southern Baptist minister brought her up in New Mexico, Texas, and California. She graduated from North High School in Fort Worth, TX.
Coral was united in marriage to Warren Hagen on March 5, 1977 in St. Cloud, MN, building a new family with Warren's children, Kimberly and Craig, and her children, Robert and Scott. They lived in Sauk Rapids, MN, where the kids grew up, lived in Rogers, AR, for many years and finally retired to Lake Mills, IA. Coral was an avid reader and worked at the Rogers Public Library in Rogers, AR, until her retirement. She was a talented, play-by-ear pianist, playing in the church for several years.
Coral leaves behind her husband, Warren Hagen, sons, Robert Lentz of Rochester, MN, Scott Lentz (Meloney) of Sartell, MN, stepson, Craig Hagen (Theresa) of Inver Grove Heights, MN, and stepdaughter, Kimberly Ruzich (Lee) of Hibbing, MN, grandchildren, Melissa Lentz (James Lake), Krista Bukoskey (Mitch), Alyssa Schluessler (Devan), Dylan Hagen, Paige Ruzich, Parker Ruzich, Dominic Paduano (US Army), Maria Paduano, Julia Paduano, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, brothers Tom Seay (Anna) of Sacramento, CA, Sid Seay (Lori), Polson, MT and sister, Sylva Harris (Scott), Cherry Valley, NY. She was preceded in death by her parents, parents-in-law, Julian and Melba Hagen, and sister, Gaynita Ivey.
As was Coral and Warren's end-of-life plan, there will be no formal services and her body has been donated to Mayo Clinic for educational research.
