He was predeceased by: his parents, Hanford Olson and Alice Olson (Johnson); and his sons, Daniel and David. He is survived by: his wife Joan; his children, Steve Olson (Nancy) of Forest City, IA and Christine Phelps (Steven) of Maplewood, MN; his grandchildren, Jesse Olson (Melanie) of Joice, IA, Jon Olson (Virginia) of Davenport, IA, Michael Olson of Forest City, IA, Lee Galland (Pamela) of Grant, MN, Allison Schenian (Ryan) of Woodbury, MN and Taylor Phelps of Honolulu, HI; and his sisters, Janet Mehus and Ardelle Shanklin of Iola, WI. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren, several cousins, nieces and nephews.
