He was predeceased by: his parents, Rene Kurth and Mary Kathryn Kurth (Karn); his grandson Jeremiah Windschitl; and his siblings, Robert Kurth, Kasandra Heim and Lois Kurth.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Burk of Lake City; his children, Ron (Sharon) of Liberty, SC and Jody Windschitl (Chris) of Lake City; his grandsons, Adam, Matthew Windschitl, Mike, Wesley, Tyler and Zach Kurth; his great grandchildren, Anna, Addy, Caitlyn and Audrey; and his siblings, Don (Joan), Jim (Sue) of Arvada, CO and Mary Kay Litzel of Ames, IA..
