He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Slagle and Elsie Slagle (Birkett); his wife Lorraine; his children, Katherine Cartee and Ricky Slagle; his grandson Gabe Slagle; and his former wife Dora.
He is survived by: his children, Jim Slagle (Lori) of Loveland, CO and Kim Clark (Roger) of Lake City; his grandchildren, Luke Slagle, Ashley Slagle, Sean Cartee, Tim Cartee, Brandon Anderson, Sara Ayala, Sandra Angerbauer, Jennifer Handy and Nicole Slagle; and his brother William Slagle of Fort Dodge.
