It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cecil James Cook of Lake City, Iowa, who passed away on January 19, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Cook and Mary Cook (Casey); his wife Mary Pat Cook; his brother Vincent Cook; his sister-in-law Julaine Cook; his sister Madonna Buckner; and his brother-in-law Albert Buckner (Rose Heath).
He is survived by: his children, Michele Cook of Lohrville, IA, Cecilia Rossmanith (James) of Churdan, IA, John Cook (Emily) and Patrick Cook (Elizabeth) of Des Moines, IA; his grandchildren, Becki Miller, Angie Brus, Josh Rossmanith, Michael Rossmanith, Megan McGuire, Mecha Cook, McKenzie Friend, Brittany Cook, Abby Cook and Joseph Cook; and his great grandchildren, Connor Brus, Jacob Brus, Logan Miller, Lauren Miller, Wyatt Brus, Zander Rossmanith, Taryn Rossmanith, Braxton Ziegler, Iyla Rossmanith, Alanna Jackson, Paysen Friend, Carsyn Rossmanith, Vivian Friend, Aaliyah Wakahu, Kobe Burkhail and Jaxson Friend. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
