Marilyn Schafbuch Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Marilyn Schafbuch of Ladora, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 2, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Edwin Dicus and Arlene Marie Dicus (Gray); her husband Larry Neil Schafbuch; and her brothers-in-law, John Taylor and Ed Urbanek.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Gerard (Al) of Marengo, IA, Darrell Schafbuch (Tracy) of Victor, Connie Miner (Dave) of Dysart, IA and Kevin Schafbuch (Tina) of Ladora; her grandchildren, Sean Schafbuch (Kira), Bri Hinrichs (Garrett), Madison Buswell (Carter), Nichole Gerard, Morgan Dietrich (Tyler), Jacob Schafbuch (Tiffany), Brandon Schafbuch (Brittney), Emma Schafbuch (Koley Kelly), Alex Miner, Lindsey Fischels (Tyler), Nadia Beinert (Joel), Dylan Schafbuch, Heather Schafbuch and Amy Schafbuch; and her siblings, Carol Gugler (Don) of Ely, IA, Judi Urbanek of Colorado Springs, CO and Beverly Taylor of Marion, IA.. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Smith Funeral Home - Victor (808 4th St, Victor, IA 52347). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Victor United Methodist Church (305 Washington St, Victor, IA 52347).
