It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shepherd Velma B of Lacona, Iowa, born in Grinnell, Iowa, who passed away on November 18, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Samson and Vera Caldwell Samson; her husband Robert L. Shepherd; her close friend Marvin; and her siblings, Vera Pauline, Delbert (Buddy) and Larry Samson.
She is survived by: her children, Bob Shepherd (Ann), Deb Shepherd, Dan Shepherd (Theresa) and Diane Middleswart (David); her grandchildren, Kelly Brummond (Troy), Bobby Shepherd (Joni), Jon Shepherd (Kara), Melissa Hayes (Brandon), Chrissy Shepherd (Austin), Hannah Middleswart (Matt), Tyler Middleswart (Erica) and Scott Hardenbrook (Brenda); her great grandchildren, Stella, Grant, Bobby, Billy, Mia, Joe, Jordan, Jacob, Joey, Ryker and Elsie; and her sister Esther Toney.
Due to the Iowa coronavirus guidelines, face masks are required at all services and a limited number of visitors will be allowed in the facility at the same time.
Memorials may be made in honor of Velma to the Lacona Fire and Rescue or St. Paul Lutheran Church in Lacona.
