With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Delbert Heckman of Lacona, Iowa, born in Adair, Iowa, who passed away on January 4, 2021 at the age of 90. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Delbert Heckman to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William Heckman and Ruby Heckman (Petersen); and his siblings, Shirley Crawford, Norma Eberly, Melvin Heckman and Ramona Reed.

He is survived by: his wife Joyce Elaine Peters; his children, Jerry Heckman (Gerry) and Jolene Dittmer; and his grandchildren, Lynne Vaz (Carlos), Michelle Fuller (Mike), Brian Dittmer, Leland Heckman, Matthew Heckman (Chelsey) and Cody Heckman. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.

Per Iowa corona virus guidelines, facemasks are required.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the Lacona Fire Department.
