She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Benbow and Hazel Benbow (Conn); her husband Bill Starr; her sister Alberta Benbow; her half-brother Donald Bradbury; and her friend John Nervig.
She is survived by: her children, Randy Starr (Terri), Denny Starr (Susan), Kathy Peters (Steve) and Scott Starr; her grandchildren, Jeremiah Starr (Melissa), Lana Beres (Tony), Tracy Hicks (Mike), Rebekah Zubradt (David), Logan Peters (Ericka Dunn), Tanner Peters, Kramer Peters, Hannah Bohlke (Teague), Garrett Starr (Audrey) and Hallie Starr; and her great grandchildren, Addison, Elijah, Camden, Kaiah, Maysen, Meyah, Hailey and Brendan.
In Lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Roberta Starr may be made to the Des Moines Botanical Center.
